Worth Casing Wednesday Linkup | Flying High

Australia Day, Perth, Agent Mystery Case

I’m arriving later than usual to the Worth Casing Wednesday Linkup party this week. Even though I’m moving house next week and currently neck deep in packing boxes, I was fortunate enough to score a last minute invite to a fab Australia Day event here in Perth yesterday…

With an invite like that… you can see why it was hard to say no. The event organisers Ultimo weren’t kidding about the substantial food and drink. My ability to take a half decent photo and get this linkup posted in time diminished the minute I hit the West Winds gin bar.

It certainly was the perfect event and location to spend Australia Day and watch the fireworks. The penthouse is actually listed for sale at the moment {see here} if you have a spare $9,750,000 plus lying around.

  1. That looks so special and I am so glad you got to ‘get away’ from all the boxes and the stress! A wonderful event meant for you! D x

    • Oh gosh… not me. Camille from Delish Ice. I’m a bit camera shy these days. Although we were snapped by the paper at the event but I can’t imagine that photo will make publication, considering all the VIPs at the event.

    • Thanks Janet. It was just what I needed with all I have going on at the moment. This time next week, I will be in unpacking mode. Hopefully it is all smooth sailing from here on in.

    • We have a house and a moving date now (Feb 2). I’m 80% packed, it is just the fiddly stuff and far too much clothing remaining. There isn’t as much storage or cupboard space in the new place, which is going to make things interesting. I may just leave most of our stuff packed for the next move in 12 months.

    • I know. Although there is no pool and only 3 bedrooms… so I’m not convinced if I did have the money if the place would suit our family demographic. Perhaps as a holiday apartment.

  2. That looks like a fab event! I love the Vegemite jars. I spent Australia day painting my front fence. Not so glamorous but now I don’t cringe each time I drive into the driveway. Hope you are going well with the move. x

  3. I like the gin and tonic station. Happy Australia Day from the States (I did mention it on facebook). Good luck on the move.

  4. I’m glad you took time off from packing boxes to attend this events – sounds like a fabulous way to spend Aust Day and see the fireworks – that view!
