Rooftop Movies Double Pass GIVEAWAY | Agent Mystery Case

What’s not to love about the Rooftop Movies here in Perth. It’s certainly one way to take your cinema experience to new heights.

A rather retro pop up cinema from the people who bring you Fringe World, hosted from the rooftop of the City of Perth Roe Street car park with panoramic views of the city and an interesting array of vintage caravans serving gourmet food and drinks. Astro turf, flamingos and the odd palm tree continue to set the theme as do the views over the city on sunset and throughout the evening.

With a mix of block buster new release films, cult classics and the all-time classics hitting the big screen before their season closes (11 April, 2015), there should be something to suit just about everyone.

Rooftop Movies also host the most fabulous special events and following a collaboration with Northbridge Yoga, you can now enjoy an early morning rooftop yoga class. What an interesting way to start your day.

  1. If I won I would case out Never Ending Story because it takes you back to those best childhood years. The special effects still have an home-made, charming feel to them, and the story line is great. There are stories within stories within stories. Plus (spoiler alert) watching Artax die never loses its poignancy, and who would say no to more poignancy in their life?

    • I don’t think I’ve actually seen the Never Ending Story. I might need to put that one on my list and take one of my girls. Although it’s an 18+ venue you can take children if they are supervised.

  2. I would love to see the Second best Marigold Hotel – LOVED the first one, and have been dying to see this! Thanks for the chance to win tickets.

    • I completely missed seeing the first one. Might need a DVD night. Thanks for entering Jo. It’s great seeing some new and friendly faces entering. We also have a 1-day juice cleanse up for grabs for our Perth friends and keep an eye out for our French Film Festival promotion next week.

  3. I’d love to case Jupiter Ascending i! Love Scifi movies (especially under the stars)! And Channing Tatum is very easy on the eye!

  4. Oh, dang!! I live in the wrong city!! I’ve hung out at Northbridge. It was a New Years Eve and needless to say, so much fun!!!
Being an 80’s tragic, I’d love to see The Breakfast Club on a rooftop x

    • Northbridge is certainly an interesting part of town. Always something going on and it does occasionally get a bad rap. I’ve been wanting to revisit The Breakfast Club myself. Memories.

  5. I would love to watch Moonrise Kingdom, it has a great cast and several friends have seen it and said it was fantastic.

  6. I’d love to see the Second Best Marigold Hotel. I loved the first movie, and it will remind me of the lovely holiday I had in India several years ago 🙂

  7. I’m a Perthite very keen to see “The Princess Bride”. Such a classic movie that evokes wonderful memories for me. Would love to create new memories at Rooftop Movies!

    • Hi Cathy, thanks for stopping by and entering. We also have a 1-day juice cleanse up for grabs (ends tomorrow) for our Perth followers and brunch giveaways (Australia wide).

I haven’t actually seen The Princess Bride, I might need to put that one on my list.

  8. I’m a fan of Nick Cave and wouldn’t mind seeing his film Twenty thousand days on earth. Keen to know more about the man behind the music. Although he is more than just his music.

  9. Inception followed very closely by Wolf of Wall Street. Why? Well the actors for one thing and I’ve been meaning to see both films.

  10. Second Best Marigold hotel for sure and I’d take my best friend, who watched the first with me. We don’t get out enough and this would be a wonderful excuse.

  11. Ohhh Chappie for sure cause I’m a sucker for a good robot flick… then Inception as I’m a sucker for Leo!! I have a girlfriend I haven’t caught up with in ages and this would be perfect! Thanks 🙂
