Five in Five with Kellie O’Brien

Kellie O’Brien is a journalist, author, blogger and digital media coach. Her coaching business Kellie O’Brien Media empowers small to medium business owners and entrepreneurs to do their own social media, blogging and publicity to boost their business.

Kellie is also writing the biography of one of Tasmania’s most successful businessmen and joins us today for a quick Five in Five.

How would you describe yourself and your business?

I’m a former journalist who is incredibly passionate about empowering entrepreneurs to increase their visibility and profits through publicity, social media and blog coaching.

If we ventured into your wardrobe what would it say about you and what’s your favourite or most worn piece of clothing?

Ah, great question. My wardrobe is full of very classic clothing. I’ve never been one to wear the latest trends. Although, yes, I will admit to having once owned a pair of happy pants! My fave piece of clothing, which I haven’t worn very often, is a gorgeous tailored navy dress that’s similar to one Kate Middleton wore. I love her simple, elegant style.

What’s on your Worth Casing list?

I am just loving three incredibly active Facebook groups I’m part of at the moment. They include a Marie Forleo group, Melanie Duncan group and Stephanie Donegan group. The women (and a few men) who are part of these groups constantly inspire me, lift me higher when I have something to celebrate and guide me in the right direction when I don’t have a clue.

What is your idea of the perfect date night?

My favourite restaurant with hubby, Tasmanian wine, Tasmanian seafood and room for a chocolate-based dessert. I know – it’s all about food with me.

If you have a theme song what would it be and why?

Right now, with where things are going in my life, I’d have to say Michael Buble’s Feeling Good, especially the lyric `It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new life for me, and I’m feeeeeling good’.
