A Date Night First has me needing time out

Our One New Thing a Week Challenge is back!

I would love to hear what you’ve been up to this week and welcome suggestions on what fun thing I should be getting up to next.

Feel free to join in by leaving a comment below or drop me an email if you are up for a guest post.

The last few weeks, I’ve been actively looking for ways to up the ante with my One New Thing a Week Challenge and this last week, things have once again been practically falling in my lap. Not only was this a first for me, it was a first for Perth and Australia and I was one of the lucky 20 VIPs to experience this Perth Festival 2014 first, thanks to 720 ABC Perth.

My VIP evening with Perth Festival 2014’s ‘Situation Rooms’ on Friday night, was thought provoking and seriously full on. So much so that I’m still needing time out to digest all that I was involved in and I wasn’t entirely sure I could or would blog about my adventure.

I had planned on taking a handful of photos and doing a full feature but I honestly would have needed a stunt double or two to pull that off.  It really was that full on. So for now, the one and only photo I managed to grab before being handed an iPad with earphones and discovering I was actually part of the production.

I believe the show is the first interactive documentary of its kind in Australia. It certainly was a first for me and made for one interesting date night with Mr C, even if I only managed to see him a couple of times throughout the walk through production.  He joked about amputating my leg before we went in (see the video below) and funnily enough, I was actually his surgeon at one point.

Have a watch of the video and then please feel free to ask any questions.  If you are thinking of attending this or any of the Perth Festival shows, I would get in and snap up tickets fast. If you do manage to make it to see Situation Rooms, please pop back and let me know how you found it.
