It’s all about the food for Worth Casing Wednesday this week…
FOOD GLORIOUS FOOD…
You only have to look at my Instagram feed lately to know I’ve turned to the dark foodie side of town. Not just out and about casing the menu, as I like to call it but also at home in the kitchen. Creating different dishes for the family, as well as a little collaboration with Kambrook.
I’ve been having so much fun creating that I actually haven’t found much time to translate them into recipes here on the blog.
The ones that have made it are…
WHAT NEXT?
While I usually let my family weigh in on what’s on the menu, I thought I should let my blogging family (that would be YOU) decide just what recipe makes it to the blog next.
YOU DECIDE…
- My ‘I’m no longer cross’ Hot Buns
- Toffee Apple Self-Saucing Pudding
- Salted Chilli Bread (this comes with a GIVEAWAY from Jubata Spice)
- Golden Syrup Dumplings with a mystery twist
- My Truffle Surprise signature dish (The Truffle & Wine Co)
- French Toast Fairy Bread
- Your choice!
With Truffle Kerfuffle just about to kick off here in Perth, I was thinking I should start there… but you decide.
WORTH CASING WEDNESDAY
If you have a blog post (or two) worth casing this week, this is the place to link up…
What have you been up to this week? Do you have a favourite food or recipe?
For me it has to be the golden syrup dumplings because dumplings make everything better!
They are at the top of the list for half of my family as well.
OK now you have got me wanting some haha!
Have a foodtastic week 🙂
Thanks Steve. Any suggestions on what recipe I should share next?
I think I’ve gained five pounds from all the food posts this week!
LOL NanaHood, me too.
I do follow you on Intsagram and enjoy your food posts.
Thanks Pat. Lots more food posts coming. You should see where I’m heading this Friday night.
That toffee pudding looks amazing – YUM! Great video as well – Thank you for sharing and for providing the link up!
Thanks. Have a great week.
Toffee apple self saucing!
It’s a lot like the toffee recipe only with a slight variation. Tastes amazing.
Hot Cross Buns are a favourite of mine even without the cross!
My hot buns have optional extras.
Golden Syrup Dumplings sound good to me! Yum, yum!
It’s my grandmother’s recipe with a mystery twist.
I think I’d go with the truffle surprise (as long as you’re talking actual truffles, not dessert)
Yes actual truffles (from the ground). Interestingly I’ve had them in cheesecake and it worked really well. Wouldn’t have gone their myself but we were at the farm the first day they dug truffles up for the year (a couple of years ago now) and truffle cheesecake was on the menu.
Pavolova is my pick.
My Nutella Pavlova recipe is already up. Just click on the link above.
Chilli salted bread. Anything bread related is my pick!
I will have to make you some.
Truffles! Ohhhh truffles!!
I am always baking as you know. I adore brownies so much at present. Last week I was baking them daily!
These are black truffles (from the ground) so not the sweet chocolate variety.
Oh I know! I adore them. Such an amazing flavour. I need to go and buy some imported jars at David Jones. Better start saving…
Well keep an eye on the blog, I might just have a truffle giveaway coming up. We have the festival Truffle Kerfuffle kicking off in Perth soon.
comfort food = all the love and good feelings. Love this post.
Thanks Denyse. I’m actually enjoying being back in the kitchen. You should see what Kambrook have me testing next.
Ooh I’m glad it’s a food-related post, because that’s exactly what I’ve linked up! I love all of them, but maybe the Toffee Apple Self-Saucing Pudding. Yum!
Di from Max The Unicorn
Can’t wait to see your post. I’m just popping in briefly to reply to comments and will be back to case all your posts later tonight.
I don’t think I’ve ever tried Pavlova, but that looks delicious. I’ve been told I’m going to turn into a strawberry because I eat so many of them.
My daughter is much the same with strawberries. Can’t get enough of them.
Any of those options sounds fabulous. I am now incredibly hungry.
Me too. Need to get back in the kitchen before the long weekend.
Ohhhhhh why did I watch that Self Saucing Video! I am craving that yummy sweet treat now. Great vid by the way.
Thanks. I’m playing around with video at the moment, haven’t found the right software but getting close.
Glorious indeed! Now I am famish!
Me too.
