IN THE SACK this silly season with Agent Mystery Case
Helping you survive the silly season one blog post and giveaway at a time!
Today we hand the blog over to Anastasia Amour, who offers her top tips for keeping things positive this silly season, especially if you are someone like me who has been dreading all things Christmas since the decorations hit the stores in September.
Ahhh Christmas…. a time for cheer, good company and good tidings.
But when you hear the carols playing non-stop in the shops, see glittering ornaments everywhere you go and strategically plan your gift list, it’s not Christmas cheer that you’re filled with. It feels unnatural to be one of the “grinches”, after all, this is meant to be the most wonderful time of the year, right?
Fear not – if you find yourself dreading December, here are 3 easy ways you can stay positive during the silly season:
1. Remind yourself of how wonderful your life is by spending time with those less fortunate than you.
All the consumerism and shopping madness can leave you feeling a little drained, but helping someone is sure to fill you with positive vibes and a cheery spirit. There are plenty of volunteer opportunities around the place, or you can offer to assist at your nearest shelter.
2. Think about what you do like about the holiday season.
You might hate Christmas carols, but you’ve got to admit that your mum’s famous Christmas pudding is pretty damn delicious. Focus on the parts of Christmas that you do like, and allow those thoughts to have more power over you than your negative Christmas thoughts.
3. Take it as an opportunity to relax.
Many people feel pressured to spend time with family members and old friends and that neighbour that used to live next to them when they were 5 years old, and every other human they’ve ever met, in the weeks surrounding Christmas. And whilst it’s great to catch up with people, there’s also nothing wrong with taking a break to spend some time by yourself. You worked hard all year, and you deserve a break! This is a great way to nip a case of “I can’t stand my insane family” syndrome right in the bud.
If you can teach yourself to look for the positives in every situation, you’ll be able to breeze through the silly season. And if all else fails, just help yourself to an extra large glass of Christmas punch, sit back and marvel at the pandemonium!
CASING THE POSITIVES
For all things positive, Anastasia’s blog and upcoming Project Positive (#projectpositive) kicking off next month are definitely worth casing this festive season. Anastasia’s free e-Book 10 Shortscuts to postive self-esteem for all women would make a great gift for yourself or a friend, especially if you are on a budget this year.
JUST LAUNCHED and great Christmas stocking fillers:
Another great gift this Christmas and perfect stocking fillers are the affirmation temporary tattoos which you can find in Anastasia’s Etsy shop for just $3.50. Wrist sized but can be placed anywhere you desire to remind you of your strength and to keep things positive.
I’ve always wanted a tattoo but the pain and permanency factor have put me off. I love the idea of an affirmation temporary tattoo and I will be sporting ‘Enough’ during the festival season. Current affirmations available are IMPERFECT, FEARLESS, BEAUTIFUL and ENOUGH, with more coming soon.
The affirmation tattoos are 100% safe and non-toxic, won’t irritate sensitive skin and will last for up to 5 days or longer if you look after them!
Today’s giveaway will include a temporary tattoo from Anastasia’s online store together with a mystery prize from one of our giveaway sponsors.
Leave a comment below, letting me what you look forward to the most at Christmas time and which temporary affirmation tattoo is more your style.
